Choose your ride in Youth en Route’s Bike Show raffle

Youth en Route is very excited to be exhibiting at the Alberta Bike Show at the BMO Center at Stampede Park on March 16 and 17.

We’ll be selling Raffle tickets to help fund our school programs. We always tell kids to ride whatever kind of bike they want to. So, we’re making our raffle a Pick your Bike. We have a road bike, mountain bike and a cruiser to choose from.

The first person drawn will have the first choice of the bikes, followed by the second name etc. We do have a great partnership with the Bike Shed, at the Greater Forest Lawn 55+ Society and will try to find a comparable bike if the one you’d been eyeing is taken. Our bikes have been restored by our partners at GFLS and Bathtub Bikes.

2022 Schwinn Sanctuary 7, 7-speed, size small

2009 Trek Aluminium Road Bike, 27-speed, restored. Comes with your choice of pedals

We’ll be selling tickets for $2 each, 3 for $5 or 10 for $10. Come see us in Booth 437. We’ll be there with our good friends from Bathtub Bikes.

Draw date is March 23rd. We’d love to find a couple other places to sell tickets, so if your company would like us to set up in the lobby over lunch hour to help us out, please let us know!

Selling Shift Happens Bags

We’ll also be selling our handy Shift Happens Bags. This emergency kit is a must-have for any cyclist – for long or short trips. We’ve packed pump, multi-tool, tire levers, patch kit, adjustable wrench, zip ties, rain poncho, warm gloves first aid supplies – and yes, the phone number for the taxi-company that has bike racks.

The price is $65, but it’s worth over $80 with the tools alone. We created them for our teachers that needed a kit to take on cycling trips. It just made sense to sell them too.

We’re eager to share our work!

Pop by, collect a Bike Index sticker, buy a baby or toddler helmet for a donation or just oogle the slick bikes we have in the raffle.
